A great team of artists including Bertie Louise, Steve Browne and Nick Zafir and more have been hands on supporting the build. Artist Daek William, Well known for his large scale murals has been lending his visual genius to the finishing touches ‘‘for the love of it” says Daek. “Leo is a good dude and a great support, he looks after me so I’m happy to look after him. I believe in his dream and believe this space is going to be not only visually amazing, but also an amazing addition to the Perth art scene’’To celebrate the completion of the brand new gallery to hit Perth, Studio 281 are hosting the official Grand Opening Party on the 29th of October in the new Ferguson Foundry space. A special halloween event not to be missed, with a SPOOKTACULAR large group exhibition featuring a wide range of established and emerging Perth artists delivering a vampires feast of visual art, glassware, sculpture and photography to sink your teeth into. Ghouls, ghosts and the walking dead, let your imagination go wild , this is a costume event. Although it is not compulsory, the best dressed will win prizes! Fiendish foods and witches brews will be available through out the evening and please don’t forget your dancing shoes. The undertaking will begin at 29 Oct 7:00 p.m till late. The exhibition will run from October 29 – November 12 at Studio281.
